Book Release: The Art of Worrying: as Warrior or as Worrier? by Naressh J Jain

In a world where medical science has made remarkable progress in combating external diseases and pathogens, a new and often invisible threat has emerged—mental exhaustion. It does not always announce its arrival, nor does it leave visible scars, yet it can quietly affect the way we think, live, work, and experience happiness. At the heart of this modern struggle lies one of the most universal human habits: worry.

Naressh J Jain’s new book, The Art of Worrying: as Warrior or as Worrier? How the Mind’s Most Effortless Habit Is Quietly Stealing Your Life, explores the powerful and often underestimated impact of worry on everyday life. With an engaging perspective and a practical approach, the book examines how chronic worry can gradually consume mental energy, create emotional exhaustion, and prevent individuals from living with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Worry is not a modern invention. It has travelled with humanity through generations, surviving every evolutionary and technological transformation. From world leaders and corporate professionals to students, entrepreneurs, parents, and ordinary individuals, almost everyone experiences it. In fact, worry has become so deeply embedded in everyday life that many people begin to treat it as a normal state of existence.

But what if it does not have to be that way?

The Art of Worrying challenges readers to reconsider their relationship with worry. Rather than simply telling people to “stop worrying,” the book offers a practical framework for understanding, confronting, and transforming it. Its central message is built around a powerful transition—from becoming a “Worrier” to becoming a “Warrior.”

At the core of the book is the actionable three-step “Feel-Deal-Heal” architecture. This approach encourages readers to first acknowledge and understand their emotions, then consciously deal with the underlying concerns, and finally move towards healing and constructive action. Instead of allowing the mind to remain trapped in an endless “worry-train,” readers are encouraged to redirect their mental energy towards purposeful and productive routines.

The book also highlights an important distinction between productive concern and destructive worry. While thinking about challenges can help people prepare and make better decisions, repetitive and uncontrolled worrying can keep the mind trapped in imagined outcomes, fear, uncertainty, and emotional fatigue. Learning to recognise this difference can be an important step towards developing greater mental resilience.

With its combination of thought-provoking observations and actionable guidance, The Art of Worrying is designed not merely as a book to be read, but as a practical companion for personal transformation. Readers are encouraged to examine their own patterns of thought and discover ways to replace unnecessary mental clutter with purposeful action.

Adding further value to the reader’s journey, the book provides free lifetime access to a regularly updated library of editable workbooks. These resources are intended to help readers apply the concepts discussed in the book to their own lives, making the experience more interactive, practical, and personalised.

The author, Naressh J Jain, brings to the book nearly three decades of diverse professional and leadership experience. A Chartered Accountant by professional training, Naressh is a seasoned governance, risk, and compliance professional with more than 29 years of experience across industries including infrastructure, oil and gas, financial services, media and broadcasting, sports, and shipping.

His professional journey includes serving as Head of Compliance and Enforcement (Workers’ Welfare–Human Capital) at a distinguished Government body associated with the delivery of eight world-class football stadiums and supporting infrastructure for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The experience exposed him to one of the most ambitious construction, governance, and organisational environments in the world.

Over the course of his career, Naressh has also worked with organisations including ADCO, an ADNOC group company in the UAE, Hapag-Lloyd, Tata Consultancy Services, and Star TV, now known as JioHotstar. His varied corporate experience has given him a broad perspective on leadership, organisational behaviour, risk management, human performance, and the pressures faced by professionals in demanding environments.

Beyond his corporate career, Naressh is actively involved in community and philanthropic initiatives through Lions Clubs International, where he is associated with a chapter in Mumbai and contributes to various social initiatives.

His interests extend beyond conventional professional disciplines. As a certified life coach, Naressh has developed a keen interest in personal development, business coaching, and occult sciences, including numerology, Vastu/Feng Shui, astrology, and palmistry. These diverse interests have contributed to his broader understanding of human behaviour, personal choices, beliefs, and the search for balance and purpose.

Through The Art of Worrying, Naressh J Jain brings together his professional experience, personal interests, and observations about the human mind to address an issue that affects people across professions, age groups, and social backgrounds. The book invites readers to question whether worry is truly protecting them—or quietly taking away the quality of life they deserve.

The fundamental choice presented by the book is both simple and profound: remain trapped as a “Worrier,” or learn to become a “Warrior.” It is an invitation to stop allowing worry to dictate the direction of life and instead transform mental energy into awareness, action, resilience, and growth.

The Art of Worrying: as Warrior or as Worrier? is therefore more than a discussion about stress and worry. It is a practical call to rethink one of the mind’s most effortless habits and discover a more purposeful way of living. For anyone who has ever struggled with overthinking, uncertainty, fear of the future, emotional exhaustion, or the constant noise of an anxious mind, the book offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and begin rewriting the script.

Naressh J Jain is based between Mumbai, India, and Doha, Qatar. For consultations related to life coaching, occult sciences, business coaching, or other assistance, he can be contacted at naresshjjain@gmail.com or sattvacraft33@gmail.com.

With its timely subject, practical framework, and focus on actionable transformation, The Art of Worrying: as Warrior or as Worrier? arrives as a meaningful guide for readers seeking to understand their minds, reclaim their energy, and move from a life dominated by worry towards one driven by purpose and possibility.
