Premesh Kumar Dwivedy : Thank You Very Much !!! The book ‘Pramila’ shapes itself as a medium of emotions and desires, expecting for a change, that a human being come across in his / her day to day life. Simply it tries to speak about – what may not be spoken from within. With years of love, dedication, experiences and struggles for a change, Pramila has emerged as a voice, which each one of us will find within themselves.

The Literature Times: What motivates you to become a writer?

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: Initially, I was not thought of moving in such a path, nor keep any ambition today truely. Instead, it is basically the emotions driven by situations and in other words, the conscientious and humble submissions on behalf of an individual going through struggles, that acted as key elements for such an apprearance.

The Literature Times: What are your favourite writing topics? Please tell us a little bit about your literary interests.

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: I have alreadywrote a number of poetry including musical video presentations at different celebrations in M/s National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO), which were basically aimed at Productivity and Social Awareness of the employees. Howerver, it is because of my cohesion to my Odia culture and language, I found a way to spread ideas and thoughts on behalf of my surrounding people, becoming their voice as well.

The Literature Times: We were hoping you might tell us about some of the authors that have influenced you and who you read!

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: Basically the eminent personalities like Kabisamrat Upendra Bhanja, Kabibara Radhanath ray, Kabisurjya Baladeva Rath, Bhaktakabi Salabega and lot many of the ancient times have influenced me a lot during childhood. Their inspiration with my interests and feelings culminated in a way, what you see me today.

The Literature Times: The title is unique and appealing; how did you come up with them? Please tell us the story behind it.

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: “Pramila” means the state of “Closed Eyes”. When expressing most of the poems as contained in my debut book, it takes me to a stage when I sense the beats of my core, along with tides of emotions, those automatically close my eyes. This phenomenon often transforms into tears of satisfaction or dissatisfaction that aspires for a change.

The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: I am an Industrial Engineer presently working in NALCO, A Navratna Govt of India undertaking. I have acheived First Class throughout my career and nurtured my language efficiency in-between. I have produced my musical audio song for the awareness of employees of industries in Odia. Those are available at YouTube. I am also a certificate internal auditor in respect of Social Accountability 8000.

However, the turng point being the time around twnenty years back when I chosen to express my tides due to some incidences happended to me, poetry has become my chosen and mostly liked way of experession.

The Literature Times: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: Keeping the very fact that my language is my mother, emotions are weapons and all classes of people are targets, I have chosen poetry not as career, but as my love and passion. Hence, I am devoid of any desire for making a career in an ambition of reputation or recognition.

The Literature Times: Do you have any other novels in the works? Please keep us updated on your future endeavours.

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: My debut poetry publication is “Pramila”. I am on the way of doing a lot of things to culminate, out of my care to people, society and environment. Yes, Surely tell you about any future updates. Till then…. ☺️

The Literature Times: How do you view Indian writing in the twenty-first century? What changes do you see in today’s writing style? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy: Today’s writings in Odia has been transformed into a great change. Feel sad and mostly feel pain, when I see the way most of the writers express through faulty Odia language interpretations resembling Hindi or English. When our language is one of the old language, richly filled and bestowed with classical status, such cheaply adopted mode, I just can’t comprehend. It may be owing to the fact that – they write as their career, whereas I write for my love for People, Society and my Language.

The Literature Times: How simple/difficult was it for you to publish your book? What message do you want to send to aspiring authors?

Premesh Kumar Dwivedy:  My book is a compilation of my poems since Twenty years back. In fact, it is the the turning moment of sad separation of my loving mother, which has opened up the path for translating my thoughts.

For the authors, I specifically keep my opinion that what we write, remains as history. Hence special care, originality and recognizing our language can help a great way,  holding up ‘well-being’ in society.
