A prolific researcher, educator, and author, Dr. Khyade has spent over five decades weaving together the worlds of discovery and discourse. Dr. Khyade’s journey began in the classrooms of Maharashtra, where his passion for biology and scientific inquiry soon led him to a lifelong commitment to education and research. After serving as a Junior College teacher at Rajendra Vidyalaya and Junior College, Khandala, he went on to teach Zoology for thirty-three years at Agricultural Development Trust’s Shardabai Pawar Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Baramati. His retirement on May 31, 2023, marked not an end, but a continuation — a new chapter devoted to science communication and literature.
As a researcher, Dr. Khyade’s contributions are both innovative and impactful. His pioneering work in the use of juvenile hormones, herbal compounds like digoxin, Stevia Inulin, and terpene compounds for enhancing silk production through silkworm rearing has earned him global recognition. His research on the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) has opened promising avenues in anti-aging formulations and immunity enhancement, with potential implications for cancer treatment. With over 300 published scientific papers, including 28 co-authored with Nobel Laureates, Dr. Khyade’s scholarship stands as a testament to dedication, precision, and international collaboration.

Through his initiative Dr. APIS–Science–Spectrum, he has sought to make science accessible, relatable, and inspiring.
