The Literature Times: What inspired you to write this book on past life regression?

Nidhi Kothiyal: I’ve always been a book lover—books were my closest companions growing up. Naturally, writing felt like the next step. The only question was: what should my first book be about?

Over the years, through my work as a hypnotherapist, I compiled a collection of fascinating past life regression case studies. These stories stood out not just for their depth, but also for the spiritual insights they offered. That’s when I decided this would be the subject of my first book.

The Literature Times: Can you describe your first experience with regression therapy, either personally or professionally?

Nidhi Kothiyal: Personally, my first experience with PLR was around the age of 32. I was curious to explore it, having read many books on the subject. I had been experiencing unexplainable pain in my leg and recurring nightmares of drowning in a river. With these issues in mind, I underwent my first session with a trained hypnotherapist.
During the session, I was able to access several of my past lives, which helped me understand and resolve recurring patterns in my life. That experience fundamentally shifted my perception of time—suddenly, the 70 to 80 years we spend in one body felt like a brief chapter in the soul’s vast journey.

The Literature Times: How do you balance science and spirituality in your healing work?

Nidhi Kothiyal: I’ve always had a curious mind and a rational way of thinking. For me, science came before belief, logic before faith. So when I first encountered the concept of past lives, I didn’t accept it blindly. I read extensively, questioned deeply, and explored the subject with an open mind.

Over time, I realized that honest scientific inquiry often leads to the doorway of consciousness—and that’s precisely where spirituality begins.

For me, it has never been about choosing between science and spirituality. It’s always been a harmonious blend, with each complementing and deepening the other.

The Literature Times: Was there a particular case in the book that deeply moved you?

Nidhi Kothiyal: The sessions with Manisha, Anu, and Eva particularly enriched my understanding and moved me deeply.

The Literature Times: What challenges did you face while writing real-life case stories?

Nidhi Kothiyal: None, really. I had many client case stories to choose from, but I selected only those for which I had explicit permission and where the outcomes were clear and meaningful.

I thoroughly enjoyed the writing process. My only concern was to present these cases in a way that was less clinical and more engaging, focusing on the lessons and insights gained from each session.

The Literature Times: For someone new to past life regression, where should they begin?

Nidhi Kothiyal: Always consult a trained therapist—someone with a strong foundation in both psychology and spirituality. I’m cautious about the rise of self-proclaimed spiritual gurus who lack genuine training in the workings of the human mind and the depths of consciousness.

True healing requires not just insight, but also responsibility, sensitivity, and professional grounding.

The Literature Times: How has writing this book changed your own perspective on healing?

Nidhi Kothiyal: With each chapter I wrote, I felt a part of me healing and blossoming as well.

The Literature Times: What role does Indian Vedic wisdom play in your therapeutic approach?

Nidhi Kothiyal: The Indian perspective on consciousness and reincarnation forms the foundation of the past life healing process.

The Literature Times: Tell us about the self-healing activities included in the book—how were they developed?

Nidhi Kothiyal: The healing techniques shared in the book are well-established scientifically, and I use them regularly in my therapy sessions.

The Literature Times: What message would you like readers to take away from your book?

Nidhi Kothiyal: I hope this book helps readers demystify the process of a past life regression session. More importantly, I wish for it to gently guide them on their own healing journey—by awakening curiosity about their inner patterns and memories, and by nurturing a deeper sense of acceptance and forgiveness toward themselves.
