An Interview with CA Ashok Rao

An Interview with CA Ashok Rao

The Literature Times: Welcome to The Literature Times. Congratulations on the publication of your book! What feedback do you get from your readers? Please share your thoughts on this book.

Author:Thank you so much. My book “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत” has received heartfelt appreciation from readers because it speaks from lived experience. Many readers have shared that they see their own struggles reflected in its pages. The “Eight Vows of Success” are not motivational theories—they are principles shaped during my real-life journey.

Earlier, my poetry collection “यादें” was published, which explored emotions, memories, and human sensitivity. If “यादें”was the voice of my heart, then “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत” is the voice of my life lessons.

For me, this book carries one central message: your greatest wealth is your thinking.

The Literature Times: What motivates you to become a writer?

Author:My journey from a small town to Delhi to pursue Chartered Accountancy shaped my inner world. I lived in a rented room, away from family, without emotional support. Delhi was competitive and unforgiving. There were failures, financial limitations, and silent nights filled with self-doubt.

During those moments, I realized something powerful—if no one stands with you, your own thinking must stand for you. That realization became the seed of “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत.”

Writing became my therapy, my strength, and eventually my responsibility—to share those lessons with others walking similar paths.

The Literature Times: What are your favourite writing topics? Please tell us a little bit about your literary interests.

Author:My writing moves between emotions and empowerment. With “यादें,” I expressed emotional depth through poetry. With “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत,” I focused on mindset, discipline, and transformation.

I am deeply interested in themes like self-growth, resilience, financial awareness, spiritual strength, and psychological clarity. My literary interest lies in combining emotional sensitivity with practical wisdom.

The Literature Times: The title is unique and appealing; how did you come up with it? Please tell us the story behind it.

Author:The title “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत” is my life’s conclusion.

While preparing for CA in Delhi, I saw many talented students give up. The difference between success and failure was not intelligence—it was mindset. I realized that wealth is first created in thoughts, long before it appears in reality.

The Eight Vows mentioned in the book were promises I made to myself during my most difficult days—promises of discipline, patience, focus, and emotional strength. Those vows shaped my destiny. That is the story behind the title.

The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.

Author:Becoming a Chartered Accountant after coming from a small town and surviving alone in a big city like Delhi remains one of my proudest achievements. It built my character more than my career.

As a writer, my first published work was the poetry collection “यादें.” Later, “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत” strengthened my identity as a motivational and self-help author.

I am also working on upcoming books titled “Wealth Of Thinking” and “आप हारते नहीं हराए जाते हैं.” These books will further explore the power of mindset, psychological resilience, and inner victory.

The Literature Times: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?

Author:I like to write; often we write that which we can never say or do, which life cannot live. So I am just doing my Karma—the fruits should be left to time.

My goal is to build a body of work that inspires youth, professionals, and dreamers—especially those who feel alone in their struggles. I see writing as my long-term contribution to society.

The Literature Times: Do you have any other novels in the works? Please keep us updated on your future endeavours.

Author:Yes, I am currently working on “Wealth Of Thinking” and “आप हारते नहीं हराए जाते हैं.” Both books will expand the philosophy introduced in “उसकी सोच उसकी दौलत.”

Through these works, I aim to explore deeper psychological truths about success and failure—how sometimes we do not lose because we are weak, but because circumstances, conditioning, or mindset defeat us internally first.

The Literature Times: How simple/difficult was it for you to publish your book? What message do you want to send to aspiring authors?

Author:Publishing a book requires patience, clarity, and faith in your voice. I am thankful to Astitva Publications for believing in my work and giving it a professional platform. I would especially like to acknowledge Mr. Khomesh Devgan, the project manager, who guided me throughout the publication process. He is extremely soft-spoken, supportive, and cooperative. His calm approach made the entire journey smoother and more comfortable for me as an author.

My message to aspiring authors is this:
Your struggle is your strength. Do not wait for perfect circumstances. Start writing. Stay disciplined. Believe in your thinking.

Because in the end — आपकी सोच ही आपकी असली दौलत है।
