Firstly, it is obligatory to understand the very concepts of ‘Pharmacognosy’ as well as ‘Phytochemistry’ before going ahead. As many of the readers might not be aware with the subject matters, on which this review has been carried out.

Well, in times of yore, ‘Pharmacognosy’ was considered as the study of medicinal plants & other natural substances as sources of drugs.
