Disha Ravi Gets Arrested as One of The Creators of The Controversial Toolkit Case

The police have named Disha Ravi as a “key conspirator” to formulate and disseminate the toolkit. She is being said to be one of the editors of the controversial toolkit. Swedish Activist Greta Thunberg had shared it on twitter in connection with farmer’s protest.

Ravi’s arrest was the first in the case, as informed by the police while producing her in front of the magistrate. The police also said that the toolkit was edited in February by Ravi and many other people involved in the matter.

After her arrest on Saturday, the court held the 22-year-old climate change activist to 5-day police custody.

As per the sources, two mure suspects are being searched by the police – Shantanu and Nikita Jacob – with raids in Mumbai and other places. Allegedly, non-bailable warrants have been issued against them.

In a tweet, Delhi Police said, ” She was the one who shared the toolkit doc with Greta Thunberg”. They also claimed that Ravi and others “collaborated with pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation to spread disaffection against the Indian State”.

In the document shared by Thunberg, various urgent actions were listed earlier this month to support the farmers’ protest. These included creating a Twitter storm and protesting outside the Indian embassies.

Last week, the Delhi Police had communicated with Google. This communication aimed to find out the details of the account through which the document was created and uploaded on the social media platform.

The toolkit was found to have mentioned two e-mail IDs, one Instagram account, and one Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in it. Police have asked the respective platforms for further details. The police had registered an FIR against unidentified persons connected with the creation of the “toolkit”.
