Rinaa Peter: Thank you! The initial feedback indicates that children are not only enjoying the story but also connecting with the characters, which is immensely gratifying for a debut author like me and contributes to children’s imaginations.

Rinaa Peter: The magic of captivating children’s imaginations and the joy of instilling a love of reading motivated me to become a children’s storybook author. I aspire to create enchanting worlds and characters that leave a lasting impact on young minds.

The Literature Times: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.

Rinaa Peter: I find great joy in exploring themes of wonder, friendship, and the limitless potential of imagination in my writing. My interest areas in literature revolve around creating stories that inspire and resonate with readers, especially in the realm of children’s literature where the magic of storytelling knows no bounds.

The Literature Times: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!

Rinaa Peter: Certainly! I draw inspiration from a diverse range of writers. Roald Dahl’s whimsical tales dazzled my childhood while J.K. Rowling’s magical worlds sparked my imagination. The timeless storytelling of Ruskin Bond, with its celebration of life’s simplicity, and the innovative narratives of contemporary authors like R.J. Palacio, all contributed to shaping my approach to children’s literature.

The Literature Times: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.

Rinaa Peter: “Bedtime Adventures” reflects the essence of the book, where each page unfolds a new insightful journey for children before bedtime. The title emerged from the idea of creating a sense of excitement and wonder associated with bedtime stories. It aims to capture the magical quality of the adventures within the book, making it both different and memorable for young readers.

The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.

Rinaa Peter: As a debut author, my most significant achievement lies in bringing “Bedtime Adventures” to life and sharing it with readers. The journey has been a rewarding exploration of creativity and storytelling. While it’s early in my writing career, the positive response from readers in these initial days since the book’s release is a promising start, and I look forward to further growth and opportunities in the literary world.

Rinaa Peter: My current goal is to continue crafting engaging and imaginative stories for children, fostering a love of reading from an early age. In the future, I aspire to dive into diverse genres within children’s literature and possibly delve into young adult fiction.

Rinaa Peter: Yes, I’m working on a deeply personal project—an inspiring book chronicling my journey through cancer. Each project holds a special place in my writing journey, offering a diverse range of stories to connect with a broad audience.

The Literature Times: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?

Rinaa Peter: Indian writing in the 21st century is marked by a rich tapestry of diverse voices and narratives that reflect the myriad experiences within the country. Modern Indian writers are increasingly traversing a wide range of themes, from traditional cultural nuances to contemporary global issues. The advent of technology and the rise of social media have also provided new platforms for writers to share their work and connect with readers globally. Overall, the landscape of Indian writing has evolved, embracing a more inclusive and dynamic approach that resonates with the changing times.

The Literature Times: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?

Rinaa Peter: Publishing “Bedtime Adventures” had its challenges, but the journey was ultimately rewarding. The process involved dedication, persistence, and a willingness to learn about the publishing industry. My message to budding authors is to embrace the journey with passion and perseverance. Seek feedback, be open to revisions, and don’t be discouraged by setbacks. The world needs your distinct voice, so believe in your story and keep honing your craft.
