About the Book:
“That moment stood still. Time was neither moving forward nor turning back. Shivyanshi stood at a point where the path had not ended, yet all directions had fallen silent. Her feet refused to move ahead. Going back was no longer possible. And ahead—there was something… but it could not be seen. She took a deep breath. “Where do I go now?” This question did not leave her lips. It rose from her consciousness. She looked up at the sky. The sky—which had always been her witness—today had become the questioner. The clouds were still. The stars seemed to have paused. There was an unknown waiting in the air. It felt as if the universe itself was thinking— What happens next? For the first time, Shivyanshi felt her power fall silent. The power that could shake mountains, the consciousness that could tear through dimensions—today, it gave no answer. The sage’s words echoed— “At the final gate, there is no guide.” Her heart grew heavy. “Is my journey ending here?” she asked herself. In that moment, she saw neither Dhur, nor Rudrakshi, nor any deity, nor any sign. Only her—and the infinite. The sky suddenly expanded even more. Its blue deepened—as if colors were dissolving into it. Shivyanshi felt something—the sky was not watching her, it was questioning her. “What do you choose to become now?” The voice was not in words. It was a feeling. Tears filled her eyes. “I became a protector,” she thought, “I saved others… but never understood myself.” Another thought arose—“If I let go, will the universe remain safe?” Within her, two forces collided—duty and consciousness. Then… a moment. Just one moment. And then— a cosmic roar erupted.”
Neel Preet: What inspired you to write “Shiv Shakti Ka Ansh – Brhmand Ki Rakshak”?
Avni Singh: The inspiration did not come from a single moment, but from a blend of life experiences and Indian spiritual traditions. Since childhood, I have been deeply influenced by stories of Shiva and Shakti—where creation and destruction coexist in balance.
But the real inspiration came when I observed real life—especially how individuals, particularly women, carry immense inner strength yet often fail to recognize it. This novel is my attempt to awaken that hidden power through storytelling.
Neel Preet: What does the title “Shiv Shakti Ka Ansh mean to you on a personal level?
Avni Singh: For me, this title is not just a name—it is a truth. Shiva represents consciousness, stillness, and depth. Shakti represents energy, creation, and movement.
“Ansh” means a part of that divine essence. It signifies that every human being carries both Shiva and Shakti within. This story is about discovering that inner balance.
Neel Preet: How did your life experiences influence the emotional depth of the story?
Avni Singh: My life has had its share of struggles, confusion, and moments of self-doubt. There were times when everything felt uncertain, yet an inner voice kept pushing me forward.
The character of Shivanshi is an extension of those emotions. Her journey, her pain, her strength—all reflect real human experiences, which is why the story feels emotionally authentic.
Neel Preet: What message do you hope readers—especially young women—take from this book?
Avni Singh: I want every reader, especially young women, to realize that they are not weak—they simply need to recognize their inner strength.
No matter how difficult the circumstances are, confidence and courage can overcome any challenge. Shivanshi is not just a character; she represents every girl who is fighting her fears.
Neel Preet: Why did you choose mythology and spiritual themes as the foundation of your narrative?
Avni Singh: Because mythology is not just storytelling—it carries deep philosophical truths. Gods and demons symbolize internal conflicts—good vs evil, ego vs balance, ignorance vs wisdom.
Through these elements, I wanted to create a narrative that not only entertains but also encourages introspection.
Neel Preet: Which part of the book was the most challenging or emotional for you to write?
Avni Singh: The most challenging part was portraying Shivanshi’s inner conflict—her struggle between fear, responsibility, and destiny.
It was not just an external battle but an internal one. While writing those scenes, I felt deeply connected and emotionally involved.
Neel Preet: How does the journey of your protagonist reflect real-life struggles and strength?
Avni Singh: Shivanshi’s journey is about self-discovery. She begins as someone who questions, fears, and struggles—just like any real person.
Gradually, she realizes that true strength lies within. Her journey mirrors the path of anyone who learns to rise above their limitations.
Neel Preet: How involved were you in shaping the creative vision and presentation of the book?
Avni Singh: I was deeply involved in every aspect of the book—story, characters, emotions, and presentation. This is not just a written work; it is a world I created from my own vision. Every scene was crafted to be felt, not just read.
Neel Preet: What has been the most meaningful response from readers so far?
Avni Singh: The most meaningful response I received was from a reader who said that the book helped them stay strong during a difficult phase of life.
For me, that is the greatest achievement—knowing that my words could give someone strength.
Neel Preet: What are your future writing plans after this powerful debut?
Avni Singh: This is just the beginning. I plan to continue Shivanshi’s journey, exploring deeper mysteries and greater challenges.
Along with that, I want to write more stories that connect spirituality with modern life—stories that inspire, guide, and awaken inner strength.
