We have a long- lasting relationship with books. Books enlighten us, ignite our curiosity, open the doors of new and unknown world. Books not only inform us but also introduce us to new ideas and thoughts. It is impossible to imagine our world without books. However, these magnificent creations are a result of hard labour and perseverance from its creator; the author. An author is the faceless being behind the dazzling cover of a book. It is a herculean task to create a perfect book. Sometimes, a book takes shape after years of relentless effort by an author. To create a paradisiac sentence requires an unflinching devotion of the author to her/his craft.
The selfless desire to create a masterpiece is what identifies the author. In the end the author is known through her/his books not the other way round. However, this oblivious face is as important as the spectacular book in the forefront. To know the creation but not the creator is an incomplete knowledge. With this thought a new event was launched known as Zindagi with Kitaab by Literia Insight in association with The Literary Club of IIT BHU. The event is designed to introduce authors and their journey and story.
As accurately explained by Mr. Nitish Raj, Co- founder of Literia Insight; “ Zindagi with Kitaab is actually designed to have a peek into the life of an author. Authors are accustomed to talk and promote their book which sadly leave our readers bereft of their journey of life. Hardly, we ever get a chance to comprehend their struggles or the thought process behind the creation of their masterpiece. We at Zindagi with Kitaab bring the achievement and struggles of the author which will help us to understand what needs to be in our life in order to be an artist.”
Zindagi with Kitaab is an online event. The first session was held on 29th May, 2022. The session was embellished by the presence of two illustrious authors Mr Piyush Pandey and Mr. Vaibhav Pande. Mr. Piyush Pandey is a senior Journalist and author. Mr. Pandey has worked with prominent newspapers and media houses. His bestseller book, a biography of the prominent actor Manoj Vajpayee has been published by Penguin Random House. Mr. Vaibhav Pande is an Entrepreneur, Author, poet and a TEDx speaker. He is a regular guest panelist on news channels like Aaj Tak, CNN, CNBC ETC.
The first session of zindagi with kitaab was awe inspiring. The authors shared their experience and stories while writing their book. They also discussed their views and ideas on writing as a craft and art, their challenges as a writer. It was a great event and recordings of the session is available on Literia Insight’s Youtube Channel.
