Vijay Singh Raj was born in the village of Bihupur, Post-Pehva, District Kanpur Nagar (Uttar Pradesh), to Mr. Raj Kumar and Mrs. Lilavati. With a Master’s degree in Hindi Literature from Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur Nagar, he began his literary path rooted in the values and culture of rural India. Inspired by his late wife, Suman Devi, he found solace and strength in the world of poetry and storytelling.
Over the years, Vijay Singh Raj has received several accolades, including the Swarnim Darpan Sahitya Award, Co-Author Award, and Swarnim Darpan Sahitya Gaurav Samman 2023. His debut poetry collection Kaavya Vijay opened the doors to further creative endeavors. He has also contributed as a co-author to various books such as Affinity – The Epic Endeavours (Volumes 1–3), Zamana Badal Raha Hai, and Meri Jaan Tiranga.
