After three years as a Junior College teacher at Rajendra Vidyalaya and Junior College, Khandala, and thirty-three years as a Professor of Zoology at Agricultural Development Trust’s Shardabai Pawar Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Shardanagar, Malegaon Baramati, Dr. Khyade retired on 31 May 2023. His research contributions are vast and varied—ranging from the use of juvenoid compounds and plant-based extracts for silk production to groundbreaking work on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) research, which led to advancements in anti-aging formulations and immunity-enhancing antimicrobial proteins.
With over thirty prestigious international awards, more than three hundred research papers (including twenty-eight co-authored with Nobel Laureates), and the guidance of multiple research scholars, Dr. Khyade has made an indelible mark in both academia and applied science. His efforts in popularizing science through “Dr. APIS-Science-Spectrum” have earned him recognition from the Global Society for Health and Educational Growth and the “Best Scientist” award from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
