Book Release: Dark Mirror by Pramod Roriya

Dark Mirror by Pramod Roriya is a powerful and thought-provoking collection of short stories that compels readers to pause, reflect, and confront the truths of society often left unseen. Life, like a mirror, reflects not only our achievements and joys but also our flaws, struggles, and the unspoken realities around us. This book captures those hidden corners through stories that are raw, emotional, and deeply connected to the pulse of human life.

Unlike the glossy narratives painted with artificial colors, Dark Mirror reveals life in its most unfiltered form. Stories such as “Prayashchit” (Atonement), “Meri Maa” (My Mother), “Sorry,” “Santosh ka Dost” (Santosh’s Friend), “Khayaal” (A Thought), “Sandhya,” and “Sabak” (Lesson) stand at the heart of this collection. Each one resonates with themes of pain, love, regret, hope, and helplessness. More than mere storytelling, these works serve as mirrors that reflect who we truly are and urge us to examine the world around us with honesty.

Every story within this book raises a question—are we as genuine as we claim to be? Is society as bright and flawless as it projects itself? Through simple yet piercing narratives, Pramod Roriya gives a voice to emotions and experiences that often remain unspoken in our daily routines. These stories are not written to preach or to offer lessons, but rather to invite the reader to feel, to think, and to confront the reality that is frequently ignored.

While turning the pages of Dark Mirror, readers may find themselves laughing at familiar situations, shedding tears of empathy, or feeling anger at injustices portrayed. Most importantly, somewhere deep within, the stories will stir reflection and self-questioning. The essence of the book lies in its ability to connect us with the society we live in, reminding us that however bitter the truth may be, only truth can liberate us and bring inner peace.
