Neel Preet: Firstly, Congratulations on your book, “A 100 Ways How Not To Screw Up Your Relationship!” What responses are you getting from this book of yours? Please share your experience about this book.

Ankith S Kumar: It’s been quite an adventure, I must say, from the time I started writing I was getting good support from my family and friends, and when I revealed the book cover to the public, I was blessed with a favourable response from all. The readers also shared the same enthusiasm as me before the book’s release and now I am happy to see that readers have wholeheartedly accepted my book all over the world. What more can any author ask for?

Neel Preet: My next question to you is that what inspired you to write a book like this?

Ankith S Kumar: Well, I should thank my students and clients who come for therapy to me for that. My 9 years of career as a Therapeutic Counsellor have allowed me to help students and other clients with their problems and the majority of the problems that the client used to come for counselling were related to relationships. I found that most people were doing some common mistakes in their relationships. So I thought why not identify such mistakes and let the world know where they were going wrong in the relationship? You can consider this as my humble social service. It is always best to learn from other mistakes.

Neel Preet: Your book title, A 100 Ways How Not To Screw Up Your Relationship certainly seems to be very catchy. So, what made you go for this book title?

Ankith S Kumar: I wanted the book title to be appealing to everyone. The one which makes the readers feel curious to read and also get an idea instantly about the theme of the book.

Neel Preet: What was your mindset while writing this book? What is the impetus behind this work of yours?

Ankith S Kumar:  Personally, this was a dream I had when I was a 15-year-old boy when he first visited a library and was awe-struck to see so many books beautifully stacked on those bookshelves and there I told myself that one day I will see a book with my name on it on those shelves. So, after 16 years of waiting, 9 years of gaining knowledge and wisdom and thousands of hours of writing, I finally was able to publish this book. I also wanted to share my experiences to the world so that it make save people from doing the same mistakes in relationship again and again .

Neel Preet: Apart from motivational & self-help writings, in which other genre would you consider carrying out your writing?

Ankith S Kumar: I am looking to try my skills in writing crime thrillers and comedy.

Neel Preet: Next, I want you to tell us about some of those writers, who had inspired you & whom you follow!

Ankith S Kumar: Of course, my favourites are Dan Brown, Sidney Sheldon, Mark Mason, Roopa Pai and Sudha Murty. I also follow classic writers like Agatha Christie, Sir Auther Conon Doyle, and Edger Allan Poe.

Neel Preet: Is there any message which you would like to convey to your readers? Or any piece of advice, which you would like to give to the readers out there!

Ankith S Kumar: Yes, dreams do come true if you have the will to work for it. So get up and start working

Neel Preet: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.

Ankith S Kumar: I have two more books planned which will also be non-fiction. One book will be focusing on teenagers and the other modern workplace

Neel Preet: Thank you so much for answering all my questions. All the very best to you for the future and your book too!

Ankith S Kumar: Thanks to you too !
