Author Bio: She is continuing an undergraduate professional degree course, Bachelor of Education in Panskura Banamali College (autonomous), Haldia. She was a student of Botany at Netaji Mahavidyalaya and she had completed her M. Sc degree from Vidyasagar University.
She used to publish stort stories, poetries on pratilipi platform. She also wrote a short novel ‘Say Cheese’ and published it on different channels. ‘The Notorious Couple’ is the first book of her that is published by Astitva Prakashan.
Apart from writing, she loves to read books, she has a great love for shayari. She likes to travel very much.
The Literature Times: Author, welcome to The Literature Times. Congratulations on the publication of your book! What feedback do you get from your readers? Please share your thoughts on this book.
Author: First of all, I would say that my mission of touching hearts of the readers by this book has been accomplished. They are loving it so much. There are a lot of incidents that they relate to their lives. They are satisfied with the every aspects of this love story.
The Literature Times: What motivates you to become a writer?
Author: Well, I grew up in a family where I got diligent motivation from all. They always knew that I loved to express myself by the pen. I used to write on school and college magazines. By the time not only me, also my family want me to give it a value. And I started working on it and finally I got a chance to express myself to the readers worldwide.
The Literature Times: What are your favourite writing topics? Please tell us a little bit about your literary interests.
Author: I just love to write on love and life. We are living in a generation where it’s very easy to fall in love but my dear, the fact is love is not easy and life is always unpredictable. That’s the reason that makes me to share my thoughts on the topics of love, respect and life.
The Literature Times: We were hoping you might tell us about some of the authors that have influenced you and who you read!
Author: Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, a bengali novelist and short story writer of the early 20th century. I admire him whenever I read his books. And also I am a big fan of Durjoy Dutta, Novoneel Chakraborty.
The Literature Times: The title is unique and appealing; how did you come up with them? Please tell us the story behind it.
Author: Firstly, I would say there are so much things behind the title ‘The Notorious Couple’. In the end of that book it’s going to be a debatable exit where some readers will say they were notorious, some of them will say ‘no’, they were not. But what’s the actual point that makes the title a typical debate? We have to go through the habits of today’s generation to justify the title.
The Literature Times: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Author: To be honest, I used to write on pratilipi, on school and college magazines. Further I had decided to express my thoughts, my opinion to the readers worldwide. This the first time I am publishing this fiction of romance with Astitva Prakashan. You can tell that I am totally new in this authors’ world.
The Literature Times: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?
Author: For me, all I need is to win hearts of the readers. I just need an attention from the readers that yes, they understand me and my thoughts as well. And if you want to know about my future in this, for me, I would like to see my books in bestseller lists and I believe that I will never make my readers upset.
The Literature Times: Do you have any other novels in the works? Please keep us updated on your future endeavours.
Author: No, not yet. But I just have a thought of working on an another fiction that relates to an another perspective of today’s people towards life.
The Literature Times: How do you view Indian writing in the twenty-first century? What changes do you see in today’s writing style? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Author: Yes, I think it has changes obviously. By the time, we all are accepting new things from the society and we are living with it. It’s not like that we are only accepting good vibes at all. Actually we are leading our lives with bad vibes too. But how to recognize all that? For this we have to upgrade our languages, expressions, thoughts for the sake of today’s people of different ages.
The Literature Times: How simple/difficult was it for you to publish your book? What message do you want to send to aspiring authors?
Author: It is neither simple nor difficult actually. It’s up to you. If you are getting positive vibes from your writing, if you feel connected with it then it will definitely possible for you to share your story to the world. If you want to publish your writing anyway then let me tell you that the world is now opened to you.
