Love in Isolation – Part 1

Love in Isolation – Part 1

Disclaimer:

This blog may sound vague initially, but hopefully you will find it interesting as it proceeds.

A clue about the scenario

It began towards the end of April this year, after a severe mishap in our family which I would prefer not to mention clearly, for a couple of reasons. Some of you might be knowing about it already, others can continue without knowing it.

What matters here is that two of my family members, including my husband, were doubted to have gone affected by the cruel corona virus but (thankfully) they didn’t experience any sort of symptoms. So, instead of exactly being quarantined, they were instructed to stay in a precautionary isolation for some time.

That’s how it began. Now my husband was on the 2nd floor of our home and I was supposed to stay on the ground floor alongwith my daughter and two other family members. I would prefer not to mention anything about the other person who was instructed to take the precautionary isolation, so as to respect his privacy. Same about the other two members.

Now about us

Never had I imagined before, how devastating it could be to live away from the beloved; as close as in the same house but prohibitedly separated by just a couple of floors! All through this duration, even a mere glimpse of him would often mean a lot more than usual. Our toddler also missed her Papayin (as she fondly calls him sometimes) with equal intensity.

Hubby dear was being served all his requirements and necessities as efficiently as possible, still so many worries surrounded me. And so did memories. They used to keep flashing in front of my eyes, almost all-the-time. All other challenges that came alongwith the separation on one side and these memories on the other. I strongly missed the good times of our togetherness. Of course, we stayed connected with each other through electronic media, but still. I was constantly praying for his speedy recovery and impatiently waiting to be living together again.

The day we re-united

Mine as well as our girlie’s joy knew no bounds. She even expressed it by running all around when he came downstairs. It was such a relief to see him healthy and present opposite to myself that I cannot describe in words. At one point of time during the isolation, he did have experienced a hint of fever but, thankfully 🙏🏼, it was short-lived. Now all seemed well because he had come-out well.

But this wasn’t it!
